Rentals better than its competition?
Simply put, our website is designed to attract
the best properties from the most unique locations across the globe. We've also
implemented a unique process for inquiring about multiple properties at the
same time, called Quick Connect, so that you don't need to spend your time browsing
through individual properties to find what you're looking for. Use

2) Do you guys book our vacation rental for us?
No, Get Lost Rentals does not book properties
for you. In order to bring you the best prices available, we don't charge owners
a commission on your booking. Instead, you are free to negotiate your accommodations
directly with the owner of the property.
3) What if the location
I'm looking for doesn't come up when I search for it?
If you can't find the location you're looking
for by searching for it, try going back to the home
page and manually browsing to the region that you're location is located
in.
4) How do I submit an enquiry to multiple property owners?
You can perform a Quick
Connect here, or by filling out the form at the top of the page for the
city, region, or country that you're interested in renting a property from.
5) How do I enquire about a specific property?
There are two different ways to enquire about
one specific property. You can either fill out the contact form on their property
page, or contact them via telephone, which is listed on most property pages.
6)How do I get in contact with an owner?
The two best ways to get in contact with an owner
are to use our Quick Connect,
or to fill out the contact form on the property page that you are interested
in. Also, owners will display a phone number and/or and email address and in
some cases a fax number for direct contact.
7)How do I make a booking?
Each owner has their own way of conducting bookings. Be sure to communicate
arrival and departures days as well as any other special needs you might have.
8)How do payments and deposits work?
Most owners require a deposit to confirm your stay and full payment several
weeks prior to your stay. In most cases, a refundable security deposit will
also be required. All prices and stipulations vary between each owner.
9)How are cancellations and refunds handled?
Cancellations and refunds are all handled directly with the owner.
10)How do I find out about flights, car rentals, restaurants, etc.?
You can check out our list of favorite
travel websites. We’re also developing a nice addition to our site
that will list the information we recommend for your destination on the destinations
page on our website. Also, the owner should be able to provide you with some
answers to your questions, and the internet is a useful tool to find out about
the places you want to visit.
11)What should I do upon arrival and departure of the property?
Arrival instructions in terms of key exchange and any other necessary terms
will be given to you by the owner. Make sure you have a contact number in case
something goes wrong during your stay. Check out policies vary from place to
place. In some cases, you will need to clean the place yourself, and in others
a cleaning service will take care of it. However, it is expected that you keep
the place in good condition, as it is someone’s home. Be sure to ask about
check in and check out policies.
12)Why have I not heard back from an owner?
Contacting a property owner isn’t always
as easy as contacting a hotel. They are often away or busy, but in most cases,
we find that they return calls or emails within 1-2 working days. If an owner
is taking too long to contact you back, or a property has limited availability,
we suggest you inquire about other properties, and the most effective way to
do that is through our patented Quick
Connect .
13)Are all prices set, or can I negotiate?
Some owners can be flexible in terms of prices, especially during less busy
seasons. However, owners rarely drastically lower prices, as a majority of their
income comes from the busy season and thus at peak travel times, owners will
be much less likely to lower prices, as demand can be very high.
14)How can I give feedback to an owner?
Owners usually enjoy any feedback you might have, whether it be things you enjoyed,
or things you thought could improve. An email will usually suffice.
15)What currency are prices usually shown in?
Prices are usually listed in US dollars for simplicity.
You can see the daily, weekly, and monthly rates. Be sure to confirm the price
with the owner.
